The Virginia Tech Alumni Association and the Virginia Tech Business Alliance are proud to announce the First Annual Virginia Tech Golf Outing, which will be hosted at White Pines Golf Course on October 11. Check the 'Events' section for more details.

Tuesday, September 23 - Flag Football League
Location: Montrose Fields

Details: The Virginia Tech Flag Football team takes to the field in a weekly Tuesday night battle. Come out and cheer on your fellow Hokies.
Saturday, September 27 - Football Watching Party: VT vs Nebraska
Location: Crossroads Public House - 2630 N. Clark Street (at Wrightwood)
Time: 7:00pm
Details: If playing the Huskers on national television weren't enough, come on down to Crossroads and participate in Hokie Squares. Each square will go for $3. Payouts per quarter are: 1st, 2nd, 3rd - $45 per; 4th - $90. Raffle tickets for a Frank Beamer autograph football will be sold for $5. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the last game of the season.
Thursday, October 9 - Virginia Tech Business Alliance
Location: Sutton Place Hotel - 21 East Bellevue Place (corner of Rush and Bellevue)

Details: The Chicago Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association would like to cordially invite all Chicago area alumni to our third meeting of the Virginia Tech Business Alliance. The purpose of this organization is to explore Hokie Business relations in the Chicagoland area and will focus on developing Chicago connections on all levels.

Details: $100 per player with Sponsorships available. The fee includes greens fee, cart, dinner, prizes, and 2 hours of open bar. The outing is limited to 48 players (12 flights) and payment is due by Sept. 30th with checks made payable to VTAA Chicago Chapter. The basic purposes of the Chicago Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association are as follows:
- To provide an important communications link between alumni and the university;
- To promote the image and reputation of Virginia Tech within the community;
- To promote strong positive relationships among alumni, students, parents and others within the community;
- To support the activities of Virginia Tech and work toward the realization of the university's educational goals;
- To provide the university with a strong core of alumni volunteers who serve as an important marketing arm of the university; and
- To promote the alumni pride and spirit of Virginia Tech
