Our chapter raises money to support student scholarships for area Hokies. Please make a gift to support a new generation of Hokies and encourage incoming students you know to apply for our scholarships.


Volunteer

We depend on local volunteers to keep our chapter active. There are volunteer opportunities for all Hokies with varying time commitments. Please join us!

    Overall, Virginia Tech landed at No. 35 among all 500 universities included in the 2026 Wall Street Journal/College Pulse ranking of U.S. colleges released Oct. 2. The rankings focus on two key metrics: how much a school improves students’ chances of graduating and their future earnings and the overall student experience.

    Meet Kristin Eden '06, DVM '10, PhD '18, anatomic pathologist at the veterinary college and associate professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Passionate about education and mentorship, she brings a collaborative, compassionate approach to teaching both veterinary and medical students. Whether in the lab or the classroom, she blends curiosity, honesty, and a love for learning, plus a little ice hockey on the side.

    Former baseball standout Chad Pinder thought about becoming an agent after retiring from Major League Baseball. He once gave graduate school a try. But a chance meeting with a Chicago White Sox executive led to him spending the summer as a minor league baseball manager, providing him with a great experience in a sport that he loves.
